Dear Parents and Karate-Ka,

We are thrilled to invite you to our 2025 Summer Camp Gasshuku—a weekend filled with learning, bonding, discipline, and unforgettable fun!

Included in the Camp:

✅ Multiple Training Sessions
✅ Full access to lodge activities (Bring some pocket money!)

IMPORTANT INFORMATION

1 – NO PARENTS ALLOWED ON THE CAMP!
This camp is designed to build camaraderie and connection among the Karate-Ka. The presence of parents prevents the natural bonding we aim to cultivate.

2 – Transport Arrangements:
Guardians/parents are responsible for drop-off and pickup at the lodge. We encourage parents to form lift clubs—one family can drop off, another can collect.

3 – Minimum Age & Attendance:
Age is left to the parent/guardian’s discretion. If your child is not yet ready for an overnight camp, please do not send them.
If you’d like to drop off and collect your child each day instead, that is welcomed, but full camp fees still apply.

What to Bring:

• Sleeping bag/blankets & pillows
• Old clothes, caps, swimsuit, sunblock
• Towels and toiletries
• Karate Gi & Belts
• Running shoes
• Any necessary medications
• And most importantly: A positive attitude and warrior spirit – OSSSS!!

  If any parents or businesses are willing to sponsor a student, please contact Sensei Riaan before the camp so we can make it possible for every Karate-Ka to attend.
