DESCRIPTION:Jits Summer Camp 2025 \nDates:                 April 3\, 2025 – April 6\, 2025\nTime:                  Begins at 09:00 on Thursday\, October 3\, and concludes at 10:00 on Sunday\, October 6\nCost:                   R1950 per student\nPayment Due:  March 1\, 2025 \nOverview \nThe Jits Summer Camp is an exciting opportunity for our students to come together for an immersive experience filled with training\, bonding\, and fun. This year\, the camp will take place at a venue to be announced\, providing not only a conducive environment for learning but also a chance for students to enjoy various lodge amenities. The cost of R1950 covers accommodation\, meals\, training sessions\, and all activities offered at the lodge. \nImportant Guidelines \n1. No Parents Allowed: To foster a sense of independence and camaraderie among our students\, we have a strict policy of no parents at the camp. This allows the children to form deeper connections with each other and enhances the overall experience. Parental presence can hinder the family-like interaction that we aim to cultivate during the camp. \n2. Transport Arrangements: Parents and guardians are responsible for arranging transport to and from the lodge. For those coming from distant locations\, we recommend coordinating lift clubs. This way\, one parent can drop off the children while another can pick them up\, ensuring a smooth transition. \n3. Minimum Age Requirement: The camp is open to students aged 8 years and older. If you prefer to drive your child to the camp daily for drop-off and pick-up\, you are welcome to do so. However\, please note that the full camp fee of R1950 will still apply. \n4. What to Bring: To ensure a comfortable and enjoyable stay\, please prepare the following items for your child:\n– Bedding: Sleeping bag\, blankets\, and pillows\n– Clothing: Old clothes for training and leisure activities\n– Swimming Gear: Swimsuit and towels\n– Personal Items: Toiletries\, sunscreen/suntan spray\, and any necessary medications\n– Jiu-Jitsu Gear: Suits and belts\, along with running shoes for outdoor activities\n– Positive Spirit: We encourage students to bring a great attitude and an eagerness to learn and participate. Remember\, a positive mindset contributes significantly to the camp experience! \n5. Payment Details: Payments must be made via a Payfast link\, and it’s essential to use your child’s name as the reference to ensure proper tracking of payments. Please adhere to the payment deadline of September 1\, 2025\, to secure your child’s spot. \nSponsorship Opportunities \nWe understand that some families may face financial challenges. Therefore\, we kindly ask parents or corporations that have the capacity to sponsor students to reach out to Sensei Riaan prior to the camp.
