National Dan Grading:

Date: 

18 May 2019 – Sub Sahara Africa Region – National Black Belt Gradings, Black Belt Pre-Grading Course- Grading & International Qualification For DD (Examiner & Instructor)

19 October 2019 – Sub Sahara Africa Region – National Black Belt Gradings, Black Belt Pre-Grading Course- Grading & International Qualification For DD (Examiner & Instructor)

 

Requirements:

Grading For Shodan:

Pre – Grading Course

  1. Attend 1 pre – grading course prior to grading.
  2. Attend pre – grading course on grading day.

Time / Training

  1. Have the minimum required time & training to attempt the grading.

Curriculum

  1. Be proficient in the required curriculum.

Gashukus

  1. Attend 1 club Gashuku before grading.

Training

  1. Two months prior to grading you have to attend 4 classes per week and Saturdays at the Honbu Dojo.
  2. Helping in Dojo (Warm-ups, Sub Instruction)

Grading for Ni-Dan

Pre – Grading Course

  1. Attend 1 pre – grading course prior to grading.
  2. Attend pre – grading course on grading day.

Table Official

  1. Table official course, and table official at one national tournament before attempting the grading.

Time / Training

  1. Have the minimum required time & training to attempt the grading.

Curriculum

  1. Be proficient in the required curriculum.

Gashukus

  1. Attend 2 club Gashuku before grading.

Special Training Events

  1. Attend the Standardisation seminar yearly
  2. Attend any special events as example, a visiting senior instructor from Japan. (Sensei Okuma)

Training

Referee / Judge

  1. SA JKA or JKA Japan qualification has to be obtained prior to grading.
  2. Judge at one SA JKA national tournament between grading.

Time / Training

  1. Have the minimum required time & training to attempt the grading.

Curriculum

  1. Be proficient in the required curriculum.

  1. Attend 3 club Gashuku before grading.

Special Training Events
